The Sea Kayak Adventure Program is ERBA's annual kayak camp for kids. Boys and girls ages 9 - 15 meet daily over the course of a week learning the sport of sea kayaking. We will begin on the quiet tidal estuaries of the Essex River Basin and nearby Chebacco Lake. As the students become comfortable in their kayaks, we progress towards a variety of kayaking skills such as wet exits, rescue techniques, paddling strokes, seamanship, and safety on the water. In-water games are also played to develop the paddler's self-confidence. As their paddling skills develop, longer, more challenging trips are planned.
Every child's safety and experience is important to us. Our staff is First Aid and CPR certified. They also carry two-way radios, first aid kits, and cell phones in case of emergency. The staff-to-child ratios allow each student to progress at his or her own pace. As their skills develop and as they meet the challenges presented to them, students become more comfortable within their group and develop confidence in their abilities.
Sea kayaking is an amazing way to explore nature and the beautiful coastal waters. Learning about the sport safely with enthusiastic instructors is the best way to develop a life long love of sea kayaking. Half Day Program
Intended for paddlers with limited or no experience in a sea kayak. The half day program culminates in a daylong journey planned entirely by the participants.July 5th - July 9th

Full Day Program
Full day paddlers develop paddling strokes and rescues with work on more advanced skills such as bracing and rolling while traveling through the waters of Cape Ann. Starting with the Essex River they will paddle in Manchester Harbor out to Misery Island, the Annisquam River and Gloucester Harbor.August 2nd - August 6th
